Dry needling
Uses acupuncture needles to target specific trigger points (knots or tight bands) in muscles.
Effective for a range of muscular, joint and referred pain issues.
Able to target problem areas more specifically than massage alone.
Joint manipulation/mobilisation
Gentle but specific manipulation techniques of the spine or other joints.
Manipulation aims to improve joint mobility, reduce pain and improve function.
Joint mobilisation techniques may also be used with the same aims.
Treatments provided include:
Soft tissue therapy
Targeted relief for muscle tightness/knots using techniques such as trigger point therapy, stretching, and active release.
Used to alleviate wider muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve muscular function.
Exercise and Advice
Exercises are prescribed to aid recovery and reduce chance of recurrence and may include joint mobilisation and joint stability techniques.
Advice on ergonomics, postural rehabilitation, lifestyle etc. are aimed at keeping you mobile and pain-free.
